Dell Latitude CPX comes in two series: H-Series and J-Series. The CPX -Series includes processor with SpeedStep technology, what basically means that processor can slow down to save battery life. Another plus is the audio controller. For the H-Series it is ESS Maestro 2E while for J-Series - ESS Maestro 31.
People, in their opinions on this laptop, describe interchangeable drives as one of the best features. It makes it easily configurable and comfortable to use. You can install hardware like FDD, CD-ROM, CD burner, DVD, additional HDD or additional battery in the modular bay. Thanks to this feature you can customize your laptop in a way that best fits your current needs. If you need to work on a battery for a long time, you can install additional one in the modular bay and extend a work time period twice.
This laptop is equipped with Intel Pentium III Mobile processor. Pentium III is not the latest model, but it is more than enough for majority of users.
Latitude CPX is equipped with big 14.1" active TFT matrix. It cannot work with resolutions higher than 1024 x 768 x 16M, but it is enough for typical user. If you do not work with graphics, CAD/CAM or similar things, you should be pleased with display quality. Most people, in their opinions, mention great visibility from various angles as big advantage.
Dell Latitude CPX has touchpad and point stick, what should make fans of both solutions happy. Mouse buttons are placed wisely. One pair is located under spacebar for using with point stick and another under touchpad.
